We are convinced that our passion distinguishes us from our competition.

Iacobus is a corporate finance boutique with roots in the start-up scene and German SMEs. At our headquarters in Berlin, we founded Iacobus with the aim of offering entrepreneurs practical expertise across the entire spectrum of corporate finance.

Since 2018, we have successfully completed numerous financing projects. We advise our clients, whether in the Black Forest, Berlin or Hamburg, as interim CFO, financial advisor or board member. We are entrepreneurs with our own start-up experience all the way to exit.

The geographical centre of our work is in the heart of Europe. We are active for our clients in numerous European countries. Our excellent expertise is focused on the industries: Technology, Software, Mobility and Energy. In our work, we place great emphasis on positive impact. We support the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-Goals) as well as compliance with Environmental Social Governance criteria (ESG criteria). We believe that the world can become a better place through technological innovation.

  • Analysis and interpretation of financial ratios, data and cash flows.
  • Consolidation of financial data from various sources
  • Preparation of financial forecasts
  • Preparation of business plans / financial budgets
  • Advising managers on financial planning processes (budget, investment, personnel planning)
  • Participation in the development of financing strategies
  • Valuation of companies using various valuation methods
  • Analysis of market and competitive data
  • Preparation of performance and financial reports
  • Active stakeholder management with relevant players such as banks and investors
  • Participation in M&A and financing processes

Requirements

  • Numbers, data and facts inspire you
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
  • You are communicative, a team player and open to new ideas
  • You tackle your tasks independently, systematically and in a structured manner
  • Ideally, you have experience in a start-up environment or in an SME
  • You understand economic contexts and are interested in the capital markets
  • You are at ease working with Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English

  • Worldwide approach of suitable financing partners
  • Preparation and processing of documents relevant to corporate finance
  • Management of funding projects and processes
  • Negotiations with funding partners on behalf of clients
  • Development, structuring and implementation of funding strategy
  • Market and competition analysis
  • Advising executives on fundraising

Requirements

  • You are enthusiastic about communicating with capital market players
  • Figures, data and facts are the basis of decision-making processes for you
  • You are confident in analysing P&Ls, balance sheets and cash flows
  • Knowledge of financing options on the equity and cash side
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
  • You approach your tasks independently, systematically and in a structured manner
  • Ideally, you have relevant experience in a bank or have already worked in another function in the capital market
  • You understand how business and economics interconnect and have an interest in the capital market
  • You are at ease working with Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills

  • Planning and implementation of financing and M&A projects
  • Development of financing strategies
  • Establishment and maintenance of a resilient network in the relevant capital market environment
  • Negotiations with companies, financing partners and clients
  • Assessing the current market and competitive situation
  • Assessing the financial viability of projects
  • Advising executives on fundraising
  • Recording, analysis and optimisation of internal financial processes (for clients)

Requirements

  • You are comfortable communicating with entrepreneurs, banks, fund managers and lawyers at various levels of seniority
  • Numbers, data and facts are the basis of objective decision-making for you
  • You have a good command of key figures and are proficient in analysing P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • You have already gained experience in equity and cash flow financing
  • You structure your work independently and work on projects systematically and in a structured manner
  • Ideally, you have gained relevant experience in a start-up, a midsize company, a consulting firm or a fund
  • You understand macroeconomic correlations and are enthusiastic about the capital markets
  • You are at ease working with Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English
